Latin American Internships

The Latin American Internship Program provides students with an all-inclusive opportunity to intern with leading businesses in the business capital of northern Latin America and the Caribbean (San Jose, Costa Rica) while also having the opportunity to explore the intriguing Latin culture and pristine natural wonders. San Jose is the regional headquarters for global business and non-profit organizations like, P&G, Intel, Pfizer, DHL, HP, Kraft, Habitat for Humanity and World Vision, among many others, because of its strategic location, safety and stability. Upon enrolling, participants will work with a Participant Advisor on resume revision and interview preparation. Participants will then work with an Internship Coordinator to ultimately place them in a guaranteed internship in their industry of choice.

Included in the 8-week program is housing, planned group weekend activities to explore the country, a weekly speaker series, a meal plan, a stipend for transportation, and the opportunity to enjoy a summer completing an internship with a group of motivated college students from universities around the world! San Jose is a great place from which to explore neighboring countries like Panama, Guatemala or Peru.

The Latin American program in San Jose offers internship with regional and local organizations in a number of prime industries, such as technology, pharmaceuticals, journalism, finance, non-profit, software development and ecotourism. The local director can find opportunities in many other areas, so be sure to ask. The official language is Spanish, so a general knowledge is important to compete for these coveted internships. It is a great place for participants to immerse themselves in the culture and language and to learn to work and live in Latin America.
